The pattern

This print is hand generated using the B A S S I X node editor. Underpinning it is Fractional Brownian motion (FBM), a fractal noise function — the same maths used in terrain modelling, cloud rendering, and procedural landscapes. Eight octaves stacks alternating contour lines thicknesses with progressively finer detail. A trace that travels through the field, like elevation marks on a map.
